I love washi tape but I'm also super stingy when space in my craft room. I have an entire room but I won't let myself be overcome by any single trend. Or at least that's what I keep telling myself... I do buy some washi tape and I use what I have because I've confined my washi tape collection to a single jar. That's all I can have folks - it's my rule and I stick to it.
When I don't have the perfect washi for a card, I like to use my background stamps to create my own washi tape. It's super easy and is exactly what I did on this card.

I love it because I can create washi tape in any color or pattern I want! I simply stamped the background patterns (this is from Fresh Squeezed Stamps Background Check) and then masked along the edges. Then, I used the same ink and daubers and inked the entire strip to create my washi tape. Super easy and very pretty.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day!
Love your card. Such a fab idea and perfectly executed! Have a wonderful weekend!
