Avocado Arts: July Guest Designer

YAY!
I'm so excited to share that I am Avocado Art's guest designer for July!
Seriously, so excited and so flattered!

I got to work with the Bold Celebrations stamp set!
Super fun, right!  You can find this stamp set for sale here.

And here's my card!
Since we're right in the middle of wedding season, I decided I'd create a card that I could use for bridal showers/wedding or birthday.  It's great to keep these in your stash!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll be back with more Avocado Arts later in the month...
Have a great day!

Exciting News!

Hi friends!

First, I want to thank everyone for my Gallery Idol support!
I made it to the Top 10, which is so cool.
I couldn't be happier and I had so much fun!

Next, I have some super exciting news...

Not sure if you know this tidbit or not but...
there is a brand new, seriously amazing clear stamp company in town,
called Avery Elle.
They sell stamps, cardstock and coordinating ribbon.
I am a stamper.  I love stamping and oh my gosh do I ever love these stamps!
The quality is superb and the designs are right on trend!
Those name tags are to-die-for cute!

And this cardstock feels like butter!

As if the news of Avery Elle isn't exciting enough, I have even more exciting news!

I, along with 3 other designers, have been asked to be on the Avery Elle design team.
HOT DOG!  I AM EXCITED!

Now let your jaw drop...
Check out this design team line up!
The Avery Elle design blog can be found here.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Gallery Idol Round 4

***this is my 2nd post of the day.  Scroll down to see my Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge card but don't forget to vote for me too!***

Oh my gosh! ROUND 4!
The top 10.
I'm dreaming, right?

You can see the announcement here.
I still can't believe it!

The theme for Round 4 is to make a card something from around the house.
I raided my cabinets and drawers, even went digging in the garage for stuff I might have forgotten... Then, I came back to my craft room and just tried everything.

My loot included cotton balls, parchment paper, chicken wire, bamboo forks... and then I tried...
 NAIL POLISH.

Yep.  Nail polish.

It took about 8 tries to get the right splatter effect but boy was it fun and gosh do I like it.
I think what makes me the happiest about this card is that while I fully abided by the challenge rules, I also managed to create a card good enough to give.  Sometimes when I make a card for a challenge, I can lose myself in creating the card and I am never happy with the end result.

I love how the nail polish also has a subtle sparkle to it too.  Super cool.

I cut the paper doll people and the sentiment on my Silhouette Cameo.
Talk about a tool that does it all.

I hope you enjoy my card and perhaps I've inspired you to try out some nail polish crafting! It is really fun!

Now, I ask you to GO VOTE FOR ME!

Thanks and have a great day!
