Rock Chalk Baby Blog Hop

I am so excited to take part in today's Rock Chalk baby blog hop.   My dear friend, Erin Lee Schreiner, is expecting a baby boy any day now and we're celebrating with a blog hop in her honor.

You should have arrived here from Elena's blog; to start at the beginning of the hop head to
Aga Malyszek's blog.

I absolutely adore Erin Lee Schreiner so I had to make a card full of special meaning for her!  Here's the card I made for her. :)
In her honor, I pulled out my Paper Smooches Pip Squeaks set and actually colored in the little baby.  Gasp! I rarely color!   I've been seeing some cards with angles and I really wanted to give it a try.  I love how it works with the patterned paper.

Next, it's off to Jennifer Rzasa's blog but here's the entire hop order incase you get lost or encounter any broken links along the way!

Thanks for stopping by for our Rock Chalk Baby blog hop and have a great day!

Go-to Gal Designer Challenge - The Twinery

For my Fresh Squeezed Stamps post, click here
For my Mama Elephant post, click here

It's the last Wednesday of the month and that means it is time for another Paper Crafts magazine Go-to Gal Designer Challenge.  This month, we're focusing on products from The Twinery!

I love twine so this was a fun challenge for me.  I tend to use twine in very traditional ways so I decided to stick with that and wrap it around a die cut shape of the perfect piece of notebook paper.  We all have our quirks and mine is grounding.  One of my favorite ways to ground something is twine!  So here's my card...
To create this card, I used the best die ever, which is a My Favorite Things die-namics die.  Seriously, if there is one die that I use over and over, it's this die!  I wrapped charcoal bakers twine around the notebook shape.  Then, I die cut and stamped images from Papertrey Ink's Bubble Talk stamps.  To stamp the background (another grounding aspect here) I used Lawn Fawn's Sharp Backdrops. The enamel dots are from My Mind's Eye.

Now it's off to check out the other Go-to Gals to see how they've used products from The Twinery.

Heather Campbell <-- That's me!

Thanks for stopping by and sharing a bit of your day with me!  Have a great one!

Newton's Nook Designs Launch Party Release 4: Campfire Tails

I'm back today with my final post for Newton's Nook Designs.  Thank you so much Jennifer for letting me help with your launch.
Newton's Nook Designs - Design Team
Today we're sharing cards made with Campfire Tails.  I love these critters but was immediately drawn to the lightening bugs and the stars.  I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them.
I stamped the clouds using the front and the back of the stamp, then stamps the stars and finally the lightening bugs.  Then, I masked them and added a "glow" to them with my ink daubers.  Last, I added the sentiment, which is from Winged Wishes.  The twine is from the Twinery and the yellow chevron is Bella Blvd washi tape.

My first Fresh Squeezed Stamps DT post

Well hello! Welcome if this is your first time here.  Today is my first post as a member of the Fresh Squeezed Stamps design team.  I'm so excited to be part of this team, and maybe a little nervous because July is a busy month for me.  More to come on that...

Anyhow, here's my card:
I used Background Check for the pattern on the kraft and tag and the speech bubble sentiment is from On Trend 2013.  The hearts (oh my gosh, I'm obsessed!) are from Freckled Fawn.  The twine is from The Twinery.

That's it for me today, as I'm headed to a wedding today!  My niece is getting married!  Eeek!  So happy for her!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

You Rock :)

I'm back and with another just for fun post!  For my card today, I used Neat & Tangled's Sparkle and Shine.  To say I freaked out over this stamp set for the first time would be the biggest understatement ever.  I love every single image in this set.

So lets get to the card, shall we?
To make this card, I stamped both sentiments (I'm totally giggling at you, Ashley) and the diamonds.  To give the diamonds a little color, and because I'm not really a huge coloring person, I just turned the stamps around and stamped with the reverse side of the stamp in the color I wanted them.  I simply stamped them on a scrap paper first to achieve the lighter color.

Then, I added washi tape to the top and bottom to give it a border.  I could have stamped it but I love using up my washi tape stash.  Don't worry, I love this roll of washi tape so much that I bought two.  LOL!  The bakers twine is from The Twinery.  I LOVE their twine!

That glitter paper is a new find and I am in heaven!  It's by DCWV the Cardstock Stack 6x6 pad Glitzy Glitter.  It's amazing!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have an incredible day!
