Ellen Hutson Release Hop!

Hello, and welcome to the Winter 2015 Essentials by Ellen Release Hop! I’ll be showcasing several of the new stamp sets and dies on my post today!

First up - the new Love You So.  Oh my heavens do I love this set!  

I used the "I love you more" sentiment and accented it with a heart.  Then, I masked the inside of the heart and added the arrow.  Once I had my stamping done, I added watercolors with my Gansai Tambi watercolors.  This stuff just makes watercoloring so easy! 

I had to use this sentiment too.  There was no getting around it and I should add that it might never come off my acrylic block.  I actually think this is perfect for my son.  I stamped the sentiment and crown first and then masked the crown.  Then, I cut hills from masking tape and used my Distress inks (Tumbled Glass and Shabby Shutters) to create the perfect hilly background. 

Next up, Bold Blooms. 

Yes, it's fantastic right.  There are Bold Blooms dies too! 

I stamped a pretty floral bouquet on a panel that I adhered to a washi tape background. Then, I stamped and die cut another flower and then added it to the top of the stamped bouquet. 

Well, I couldn't stop at one.  (And I didn't stop at two either! teeheehee!) So, I stamped and die cut Bold Blooms flowers and leaves again and this time added them to a layer of pattern paper and vellum. 

Changing it up from the traditional ideas - I stamped the Bold Blooms images in black onto some watercolor paper and I used my Gansai Tambi watercolors again to create this rainbow masterpiece!
Last but not least I simply HAD to use the new super large heart from the Folk Hearts die set and I knew just what I wanted to do with them.  I had to make it a window for the little (ahem maybe big) Wish Big hippo to peek through!

      Your rainbow masterpiece using the Bold Flowers is a fun a special one. Almost has a pink cotton candy 'fantasy' feel. Love it.

      I really like this watercolor trend. I use watercolors so much better than alcohol markers...I think it's because I don't HAVE to be neat if I don't want to be! Thanks for showcasing parts of this fabulous release. I really like what you created!

      Hi Heather love the whole set my only problem is being able to get it all at one time ..... little by little Patience lil lol. I love all your cards but I think the cutest.are the birthday one with the hills and the flowers with freehand watercolor that k you for sharing:-)

      I like all your fun and pretty cards. The water colouring makes them so fresh and spring like. I often use heat embossing when I am watercolouring stamps. You got great milage from the Oh Happy Day sentiment. Don't you love it when a stamp is so useful!
