Lil' Inker Designs & Timeless Twine

Hello and time for some fun.
We all know I am a huge (no, I mean HUGE) fan of bakers twine.  So, when there was mention of a Lil Inker Designs and Timeless Twine blog hop you can bet I jumped at the chance.
Is this Strawberry Cupcake color combination not just incredible?!?!
I could use this much of it! :)

I also love black & white twine.  It always works!

But for my card, I used grey & white bakers twine
to create this card...

I stamped a sentiment from Seriously Awesome onto a Pinking Edge Sentiment Flag die cut shape.

Now for the fun part!  There is a $25 Lil' Inker Designs gift certificate up for grabs during this week's posts!  Make sure you visit the Lil' Inker Designs blog HERE for all the details!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a terrific day!

A fond farewell!!! Sniffle!

I've been avoiding my blog for days because I didn't want to face this post.

Today it becomes official.  The sweet and amazingly talented Betsy Veldman has decided to step down from her position as a Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine Go-to Gal.

Yep.  You can read the official announcement on the Paper Crafts Connection blog here

I feel so incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to meet and work next to Betsy.  Betsy is kind, sweet, well spoken, genuine, humble and out-of-this-world talented.  Did I mention the girl is funny, too?  Yep.  She is funny!

Betsy taught me a lot about paper crafting.  I might just admit, while she probably has no clue, a long time ago she introduced me to Berry Sorbet.  Sigh.  Perfect color.  We might have even fought over a Berry Sorbet ink pad last Ed Board.

Betsy, I adore you and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.  I'm not going to lie, I'm going to miss you but I completely support you in your decision and I am so happy for what I know the future holds for you.

Betsy, this card is for you.  I'll pop it in the mail soon, I promise.

I poured my heart into this card and tried to incorporate a few things I've learned from Betsy over the years - from using patterned paper for layers to die cut borders.

Now be sure to head to the other Go-to Gals blogs because we're all saying a fond farewell to our dear Betsy.

Avery Elle - Perfect Paper Crafting Blog Hop

Hi, hi and hello!
It's Perfect Paper Crafting and Avery Elle week!  This week the Avery Elle design team is playing with many of Perfect Paper Crafting's most popular products such as their Perfect Layers tools and their Perfect AirBrush.  After visiting here, be sure to check out the Perfect Paper Crafting blog for even more inspiration!  Be sure to comment on our blogs throughout to week to be entered to win one of two prizes - a $50 Avery Elle Gift Certificate or a $50 Perfect Paper Crafting Gift Certificate!
For my project this week, I created a watercolor background and then used the Perfect Paper Crafting Perfect Airbrush to spritz over the watercolor.  Then, I stamped the sentiment and stars.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!
