Ellen Hutson United We Flourish - Hero Arts

Hey all!
It's time for another Ellen Hutson United We Flourish release.  This month's partner is Hero Arts!
You should have arrived here from Clare Prezzia's blog.   If not, head to the Classroom to begin the hop!
You can find the new Better Together set HERE.   These birds absolutely crack me up!  They're so cute!

For my card, I stamped, die cut and colored in all of the birds.  I inked a background and perched them on a die cut edge.  So fun!

What's a hop without a prize?  Like a party with no cake!!!
To celebrate, two randomly selected commenters will win a $30 gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson shop! To enter just leave a comment on the Ellen Hutson Classroom blog by 11:59 PST on January 28th.

Next stop - Ilina Crouse's blog

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me!  Have a great one!!!

a Stamp It Challenges Card to share

I don't share my publications nearly as often as I should, I'm not sure why because I love so many of those card and would love to share them here on my blog with you.  So, I really should fix that!  I promise I'll do better!
Back at Ed Board, the Go-to Gals brainstormed over a hundred different stamping challenges which, with a lot of work, then turned into Stamp It! Card ChallengesSee that quilt inspired card with the orange bow on the cover?  That's mine too! :)

I love stamping and I love challenges so this was a really fun issue for me!  This is one of my favorite cards from the issue.
This is the card I made for the challenge to stamp a frame.  I love so many things about this card, the pinked border is fun and I love how the blue peeks out from behind it.  I also love how I gave the cardstock the appearance of texture by stamping the envelope pattern background pattern stamp over the entire panel.  I do this a lot, it's a fun trick.  It works great with subtle background stamps.

If you don't have Stamp It! Card Challenges you can find it here and also see a sneak peek here.

Don't forget!  Ellen Hutson: 15% off with code anniv2013

Avery Elle and A Blog Named Hero

Avery Elle is partnering with A Blog Named Hero and I couldn't be more excited!  I love Hero Arts stamps and so to be able to combine them with Avery Elle just makes my heart skip a beat! :) Super excited!

For my card, I used Avery Elle Lots of Love and combined it with the Hero Arts typewriter.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow as I'll be sharing a birthday card for a
very special friend!

Happy Birthday Hamster

Hello all!
I'm taking a break from the A Cut Above class (even though I did use my Silhouette) to create a birthday card for a my friend's daughter who is turning 3 this weekend.

My husband thinks we are ridiculous...
that my friend & I are essentially making cards for each other.
Well, he might be right but I'm hoping Rachel will like it!
Oh my gosh, every time I stamp with this little Paper Smooches Hamster, I get giddy.
Honestly, I don't know if a cuter stamp even exists!  He is SO stinkin' cute!

I used my Silhouette to cut the polaroid window and then masked the background to stamp the dots (Paper Smooches Primary) and the clouds (Hero Arts).  I also added the Hero Arts Enelope pattern to the grass just to fill in the blank spaces.
I love the way the masking in the polaroid turned out!
I'm actually finding myself really enjoying masking.
:)
The hamster is from Paper Smooches Party Posse and the pennants are from Paper Smooches Hang Ups.

I went to the Paper Smooches Sparks inspiration photos and found this Sparks challenge that I somehow never played in.... WHAT? How did I miss one?!?!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
