Neat & Tangled cards

Hello!  I have 2 cards up on the Neat & Tangled blog today - be sure to check them out there!
Today, I have two cards to share with you today. My first card uses the new Gardenia Blooms Journaling Card stamp set
To create this card, I stamped the journaling card and a sentiment on white card stock and then I colored the gardenias in with Copics very lightly using dots to create the depth and interest.

Then, I fussy cut out the journaling card and mounted it on a card base with a patterned paper front. I love the simplicity and boldness of this card so much!

Next up, I used the new For the Record stamp set.

When I saw this set, I knew I had to do something like this eventually and I'm so glad I finally went and executed just what I had envisioned! First I stamped the record player on watercolor card stock. Then I went in and got it wet and brought the watercolors to the paper in spectrum of rainbow colors. I had lots of fun flicking the watercolors around to create splatter too!

Once it was dry I added a heat embossed sentiment and some gold sequins from Sunset Shimmer.

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me! I hope you have a great day!

Neat & Tangled - Day 4: Planner Blocks

I am soooo excited about today's stamp set for the new Neat & Tangled Release this week!  Meet Planner Blocks.  Cool, right?  I love that it's a totally different take on the planner trend!
Don't miss out on the Neat & Tangled blog to see what everyone came up with!

Planner Blocks

Of course I had to put them to use on a card.  I'm such a fan of versatility!
I simply started with the Planner Block stamped in black. Then, I accented it with a custom triangle design from the triangle in Planner Blocks.  The sequins are from the new Sunset Shimmer sequin mix!  Eep, I love how edge-y this is!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Gardenia Blooms

Gardenia Blooms dies

Gorgeous, right?  I love this so much!

All stamps, dies and embellishments will be available in the shop on Friday, May 8th at 8am EST.

Let's get to the projects, shall we?
First up, a card that's a little more elegant than my typical style!  I used the journaling card die and two pieces of acetate to create a shaker journaling card.  Then, I added it to a card base wrapped in ribbon.  The sparklies on the inside of from a new Lucy's Little Things sequin mix - I love these mixes!

I couldn't stop with the journaling card die.  At all.  I cut my journaling card from a rustic ivory cardstock and then colored the pieces in with copics.  I love how this creates a stained glass feel.  So fun!  The sequins are from the new Sunset Shimmer mix!

That's it from me today - thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Hello friends!
I'm changing things up this week and helping out the lovely ladies at Neat & Tangled.  A few weeks ago Danielle asked me if I could fill in for a few weeks - of course I jumped at the chance!

If you haven't checked out the Neat & Tangled blog, you must!

Today, the design team is showcasing the new Send Pretty Mail and the Hoop die.

Now lets get to the card, shall we?

I had so much fun with the embroidery hoop - such a great die!  Then, I stamped the inside of the hoop and colored it all in.  The sentiment is from a set that's also releasing this week.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment on the outside of the envelope and added some pretty accents.  I love being able to dress up an envelope!  The sequins are from the new Mermaid tail mix!

Thanks for stopping by - I hope you have a great day!

Go-to Gal Designer Challenge

It's the last Wednesday of the month and since we've had this planned for months, the Go-to Gals decided to stay true to our word and finish up our Designer Challenge!  Sniffle.

This month, it's all about Neat & Tangled

I have two fun, new projects to share with you here today using Neat & Tangled products.  But first, I thought it would be fun to share images of a few of my favorite Neat & Tangled sets.

First, I used Sailmates and On the Strip to create this card.

Next, I used Punchinella and My Favorite to create this one layer card.

Now it's off to see what the other girls cooked up!

For this hop, I played with Photo Booth!
Cute, eh?

I had to play with the heart - I am such a sucker for heart stamps!  I created a bokeh effect and heat embossed a few sentiments onto black cardstock.

Now it's off to the super sweet Laurie Willison's blog!  Adore her so much!

Here's the entire hop order, incase you encounter any broken links along the way!
