Silver Spoon

Happy Friday!  I'm changing things up here on the blog!

Today I have a fun baby card using the new Avery Elle homemade stamp set!
I heat embossed the spoon with silver embossing powder on Avery Elle Silverfox card stock. Then I added some atamped accents to create an engraved silver spoon.  I love the bow from the set. Well I actually love every bow but this one is especially great!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Neat & Tangled cards

Hello!  I have 2 cards up on the Neat & Tangled blog today - be sure to check them out there!
Today, I have two cards to share with you today. My first card uses the new Gardenia Blooms Journaling Card stamp set
To create this card, I stamped the journaling card and a sentiment on white card stock and then I colored the gardenias in with Copics very lightly using dots to create the depth and interest.

Then, I fussy cut out the journaling card and mounted it on a card base with a patterned paper front. I love the simplicity and boldness of this card so much!

Next up, I used the new For the Record stamp set.

When I saw this set, I knew I had to do something like this eventually and I'm so glad I finally went and executed just what I had envisioned! First I stamped the record player on watercolor card stock. Then I went in and got it wet and brought the watercolors to the paper in spectrum of rainbow colors. I had lots of fun flicking the watercolors around to create splatter too!

Once it was dry I added a heat embossed sentiment and some gold sequins from Sunset Shimmer.

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me! I hope you have a great day!

Tea Time

Hello and happy Thursday!  Today I'm playing with the new Avery Elle Tea Time set.  It's my grandmother's 92nd birthday today and this set so reminds me of her!

First I used the You're Invited die, Pinked die and patterned paper from our Everyday Collection layered together.  I love dies that allow you to layer.

Next, I masked and stamped the images the images and colored them in with Copics to create a softer feel feel using Tea Time with Pinked and Dotted dies.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

#TBT - Oh Baby

***Multiple post disclaimer!  For my Neat & Tangled release post, click HERE or scroll down!***
It's Avery Elle #TBT day!  A day where we all play with a previously released set and see what new we can come up with!  Wahoo!

Now be sure to check out the Avery Elle blog to see what others on the design team came up with!

Today, we're playing with Oh Baby!

Here's what I came up with!
I combined a few sets to create this card and I love how it all works so well together!

To make this card, I first die cut a panel from Dotted. Then, I stamped the bunny from Storybook.  Then I masked the bunny and stamp the umbrella from Weather It, a sentiment from Oh Baby and some hearts from More Stories around the umbrella and sentiment.  To accent the umbrella, I stamped the bow from Oh Baby!  I didn't worry about masking it because I knew I was going to make it dimensional!  I colored everything in with Copics and then masked it all to blend a background.  Finally, I added a 2nd bow that I fussy cut and added on top of my panel with a glue dot. I also added white gel pen to my umbrella!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Neat & Tangled - Day 4: Planner Blocks

I am soooo excited about today's stamp set for the new Neat & Tangled Release this week!  Meet Planner Blocks.  Cool, right?  I love that it's a totally different take on the planner trend!
Don't miss out on the Neat & Tangled blog to see what everyone came up with!

Planner Blocks

Of course I had to put them to use on a card.  I'm such a fan of versatility!
I simply started with the Planner Block stamped in black. Then, I accented it with a custom triangle design from the triangle in Planner Blocks.  The sequins are from the new Sunset Shimmer sequin mix!  Eep, I love how edge-y this is!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Fly By

***For my Neat & Tangled post, scroll down or click here!***

Hello!  I'm checking in with a fun Avery Elle post this week.  This week, I used the new Fly By stamps and coordinating Fly By dies to create my card.
Fly By stamps

Let's get to the card, shall we?
First I created a sponged background with some distress inks.  I simply cut some wonky scallops from post it notes to create my mask!  I also used Dotted Borders to create the edges!  The airplane is covered in Glossy Accents to give it some fun effect!
