Okay, it's not her birthday yet but I due to a few upcoming stampy commitments, I had to get this done in advance!  I decided that I could go ahead and post this a few days early! I've already sent it on it's merry way in the mail to her, I am hoping she should have it by now!  Isn't getting non-bill mail is so much fun!!!

(Yes, in my house we celebrate birthdays the entire month!)

 For this card I felt it extremely appropriate to use some of my favorite Paper Smooches stamps!  We both have a thing for Paper Smooches.  

Okay, maybe it's more than just a thing- we're both obsessed with Paper Smooches!  

Instead of coloring in the pig, I just paper pieced him with Avery Elle cardstock!  He's also just a hint sparkley too!  Pigs sparkle, right?  A few die cuts and some bakers twine later, we have a card! 

Supplies: 

Cardstock: Avery Elle: White, Pixie.  PTI: Soft Stone.

Pattern Paper: Dear Lizzy Neapolitan.

Stamps: Paper Smooches Party Posse, Green Acres.

Dies: PTI Notebook, In the Meadow die.  MFT Die-namics Stax Flag.  Lil' Inker Cloud dies.

This is my first ever PTI blog hop!  Yippee!  I have watched them forever but never had the time to get a card made.  I just couldn't pass up the chance to make a card from this inspiration photo!  

Sigh.  Seriously, SO pretty! Impossible to pass up!

Here's my card...

I used Papertrey Ink's Sweet Life, Background Basics Gingham, and the sentiment is from Autumn Acorns.  

I would have loved to have rounded one or two of these corners but unfortunately I just broke my corner rounder!!! (Side note: this is my 2nd corner rounder to bite the dust! I have got to find a better corner chomper that can handle high quality cardstock!  Suggestions anyone?)  

Need to go shopping ASAP!  Oh well, I can do that later!

a simple For You

Hi friends!

Just popping in to share a simple card I made with some of my new Avery Elle stamps!

The flowers and the sentiment are from Avery Elle Blossoms & Blooms as well as Avery Elle Speckled card stock.  

If you haven't heard about Avery Elle card stock, I have to take two seconds to say it is AMAZING.  It stamps so nicely and is so, so smooth!  Seriously, I'm in love! 
If you have a thing for paper and appreciate higher quality card stock you must try it!

I just got Space Cadet (here) a few weeks ago and I just had to use it for this challenge!  

I decided not to color the martian in at the last minute and just went with the rhinestones instead.  Sometimes it's so fun to do something a little more unpredictable, ya know...

Avocado Arts Guest Designer, Part 2

YAY!  

I'm back with my 2nd card as a guest designer for Avocado Arts.

Since I'm really not one for a lot of words, I'll cut straight to the card! 

For this card, I used lots of wonderful papers I've been hoarding and Avocado Arts Bold Celebrations stamp set!  

I used the cake, banners, and the 'celebrate' sentiment!

Paper Smooches Sparks July Trend Watch

It's time for this week's Paper Smooches Sparks challenge. 

The first week of the month is the trend watch challenge!

I was really inspired by the red and white and even the little bit of black in the logo/title.

I also went with the food theme too!

Here's my card: 

I trimmed some patterned paper and cardstock and then masked the ant to stamp the watermelon.
