Avery Elle AEI♥U Challenge

Just popping in to share some fun news!

Avery Elle is starting up a new challenge! Hooray!
The most exciting part is the winner will be the guest designer for the next month's release!  How cool is that!?!?!

The challenge for this month is to create a project that sums up your personal paper crafting style.

In honor of the challenge, I decided to make a card that I think sums up a lot of things that I love to use when crafting.
1.  Color! I love color and patterned paper. LOVE.
2. Fun embellishments - like bakers twine & washi tape.
3. Die cuts.  I love using die cuts, even if it's just to accent.

I used Frame Fonts for the sentiment on the tag and the circles behind the tag are from Picture It and Bright Days.  That grey card stock is Avery Elle Fog cardstock.

I hope you'll play along too!

Here are the challenge details:
1. Avery Elle stamps or the
free digital stamps must be used in each entry. To use our digital stamp, right click on the image and save it to your favorite photo editing program. You may re-size it slightly if you wish. (Please note that the free digital stamps are copyrighted and are for personal use only. Please credit Avery Elle when using them.)
2. You may enter as many times as you wish.
3. The winner will not be chosen randomly. We will be looking for entries that include great use of color, design & creativity.
4. You will have three weeks to enter. We are adding an extra week this month due to the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.
THE DEADLINE TO ENTER IS FRIDAY, JANUARY 4th. THE WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON MONDAY, JANUARY 7th.

Tuesday Trigger: Shimmer & Shine

Gosh, it feels like I haven't blogged in forever.

First, I'm sure I'm not alone as I really find myself struggling over the tragedy that occurred in Newton, Connecticut.   My heart is absolutely broken for the families whose children, grandchildren, and parents will never come home again.  I'm absolutely sick.

This weekend I barely crafted.
Instead I spent the weekend playing Crazy 8s and cuddling with my two children, Parker (5) and Molly (2).

However, I did have a card that I needed to get done and wanted to share it as I took a lot of inspiration from this week's Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger: Shimmer & Shine.
Gorgeous, huh!  Thanks Cath!

Here's my card:
I took most of my inspiration from the ornaments, the images on them and the color.
I used probably my favorite stamp set ever, Paper Smooches Reflections and combined it with some of my favorite background stamps, Hero Arts Woodgrain & Envelope pattern, and some Avery Elle ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

I'm back!
It's day 4 of Avery Elle release week and today we're sharing projects created with All Occasion Tags
Great, huh!

While I immediately thought of making some adorable tags for Christmas, I also really wanted to show how this set could be used for more than just tags.  So, I made a card!

Those lines that I used to make the plaid at the bottom are stamped from the new Knotty stamp set.

That's it for me today.

Avery Elle December Release: Day 2 - Fun with Letters

I'm back!
It's day 2 of Avery Elle release week and today we're sharing projects created with Fun with Letters.
Cute huh!

So, here's my first card.
I made the lines with a stamp that you'll see in the next day or two, but I must say, I love these lines. a lot!

Next up is a card that I made for my grandmother-in-law.
She watches my two children for us when we are at work and the kids absolutely adore her!  She always has these magnets and they are constantly playing with them so when I saw this set I immediately thought of these magnets.
That's it for me today.

Avery Elle December Release: Day 1 - Lots of Love

Oh my gosh, I'm so excited!

It's release week for Avery Elle and today I'm sharing a few cards I made with her latest release Lots of Love.
Amazing, right? Yeah, I love every sentiment in this set.

For my first card, I had to try out the chalkboard technique that Betsy Veldman shared on her blog earlier this week.  She's a crafting genius and I had to try it out!

Next, I decided to use that adorable font/type witty sentiment and paired it with some fabulous new patterned papers and a chipboard typewriter.
Yeah, I love that sentiment!

Then I had to put these with my other all-time-favorite Avery Elle set Picture It.

Lastly, I kept it super clean and simple and did a little heart ombre stamping thing.

Well, that's probably enough from me today.  :)  that is, if you're still with me.

Don't forget to stop by the rest of the DT blogs.

Joy to the World

Happy almost-December!  Where did this year go?  Seriously, it has flown by!
Just popping in to share a quick card that I made just for fun!
It uses Paper Smooches All Yule Need (here) and some of paper piecing.  I'm still loving my washi tape too!  :) It's amazing how fun and easy it is to add it to a card once you get started with it!  Seriously, just give it a try!  The best part is, if you fuss on placement of it just like me, it peels off and repositions incredible easy!

Hope all is well and thanks for stopping by!
