Avery Elle June Blog Hop - Oh Yeah!

YAY!
I can't even begin to tell you how excited I have been for this day to come!  It's Avery Elle's June blog hop and it's also Avery Elle's 1st Birthday!  Hooray!  This hop is also very special to me because I get to showcase a set that I worked with Jamie, from Avery Elle, to create! Jamie brought my ideas and sketches to life and I am so excited to have the stamps in hand.  So, let's meet Oh Yeah, shall we?
Cute, huh?!?!  I wanted a set where I could create my own journaling cards and add little accents to them!  I love the idea of being able to connect the sentiment to the arrow or speech bubble.  The open ended arrows (shown on either side of love in the picture above) are designed to be added to the sentiments so the arrow spells the word.

Which is exactly how I used them in this card here:

The lines I used on the background of the card are from Texture Tiles: Be Cool and the circles are from Bright Days.

Next, I used the arrows to create a background patterned paper.  I stamped them once and then filled them in masking the other area and stamping again to create the 'fill' using Texture Tiles: Be Cool.

Now let's get to hop business... There's some super cool stuff going on so make sure you follow along on the entire hop.

Here's the hop order:

Hello, Hello!  Welcome to Paper Crafts Magazine 350 Cards & Gifts blog hop!  I've been excited for this issue to come out for a long time.  See that little welcome to the neighborhood house on the cover? That's mine!  Yep, I'm on the cover!  :)
Hopefully you've already picked your copy up, as it's full of paper crafted goodness!  Volume 1 of this special issue was a favorite for me and I already can't seem to put Volume 2 down.  It's nice and meaty - perfect for those upcoming summer vacations.

For the hop, you should have arrived here from Chan Vuong's blog.  We were asked to create a paper crafted birthday item.
I used my trusty Silhouette Cameo and patterned papers from Echo Park's latest Bundle of Joy Boy kit to create this adorable little bag, perfect for a 1st birthday gift.  I think it's the perfect size to hold a gift card and small toy!

Here's the entire hop list, just for your reference!

Chevrons

Hi friends!
I'm back from Utah and I think I might finally be caught on sleep but, wow, was that ever fun!  I met some of the sweetest, most fun ladies and was able to tour a few really awesome craft places.

Anyways, I'm up on the Avery Elle blog today and I'm sharing cards using the new Avery Elle chevron dies.  For my first card, I used the Chevron Bits die.
To make this card I stamped the sentiment first, which is from Handwritten Notes Clear Photopolymer stamp set and then die cut the chevrons from Avery Elle cardstock.  After adhering the chevrons where I wanted them, I cut out the chevron shape again.   Then, I simply used scor tape in the negative spaced and poured glitter into the negative space.   To finished the card off, I went a little crazy and adhered a bunch of enamel dots.  Yeah, I bought a few packs while I was in Utah!
Next up, I used the Chevron Border die and stamps from To The Point Clear Photopolymer stamp set, along with a sentiment from Handwritten Notes.  I used sequins in the negative space and simply adhered them with scor tape.
Lastly, I have a card to share using The Man clear photopolymer stamp set.  Obviously, I was in a very rainbow mood and decided to carry over the feeling and creating something that has nothing to do with Father's day (or for a man, in general!  Whoops!)   The sentiment is from Celebrate Clear Pholopolymer stamp set
That's all from me right now.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Avery Elle May Release Blog Hop

Hello, hello!  Hopefully you have arrived here from Nina Yang's blog.  If not, you might want to start from the top at the Avery Elle blog.

It's time for the Avery Elle May Release blog hop! I'm here sharing a project using Handwritten Notes.
This set was hard for me to put down.  I have a feeling I'll be getting a lot of use out of it.  :) Love sets like this!
Anyways, I was able to create a few cards pretty quickly.
This card uses that stripe from Celebrate and I stamped it repeatedly to create an ombre effect. The arrows are from Airmail.

Next up, I have this card that I created with my all time favorite Avery Elle stamp set, Petals and Stems.

Here's the hop order:
