Lovely as a Lullaby

I generally love Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger.  Well, lets be honest, what's not to completely love about Moxie Fab World?  Back to the post at hand, this week's Trigger, Lovely as a Lullaby, is NO exception.
It's so soft and cuddly!  Doesn't it make you just want to cuddle up in it?  It totally reminds of those taggie blankets!

Thought about not doing a baby theme but since the title of the trigger is Lovely as a Lullaby, I figured a baby themed card was appropriate & welcomed.

Unfortunately the new PTI baby stamps are on the UPS ground slow boat to Seattle.
(Guess my order was too big that it couldn't go USPS.  sad face.)

So, I had to break out what I already had.  I love my PTI Tiny Treats: Birthday stamps but have found that I don't really use them much- not sure why, but I do see myself pulling them out more & more!

To my delight there are a ton of images in there that I could pick from!

After playing around with a few quilting ideas and threading my sewing machine a bunch of different times, I decided to go back to clean & simple.

Here's what I ended up with:

Butterfly Birthday

I'm back with another Paper Smooches birthday card for this weekend's birthday party festivities!

This one is for a little girl in my son's preschool class.  I chance I get to ink up my Giddy Bugs - I take it!

Pretty fun- used baker's twine to create the rainbow and used PTI cloud die for a cloud.
For the sentiment, I used the Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler and embossed the top sentiment in white, while stamping the lower sentiment in black.  Something different, and I like how it adds to the card.

Monster Birthday Wishes

I've really been enjoying Paper Smooches Stamps lately.

Seriously, I can't put them down.

Anyways, this weekend is FULL of birthday parties so I needed to make a few cards really quick.
Here's the card I created for a boy in my son's preschool class.

This ADORABLE little monster is from the Falling For You set and the sentiment is a combo of the same set and the Birthday Buddies set.

He needed a little something extra so I gave him a pinwheel to hold using the flag from Spiffy Scooters.
Seriously, LOVE PAPER SMOOCHES!

Cosmopolitan Neopolitan

It's Tuesday Trigger time again over at Moxie Fab World and here's this week's Tuesday Trigger:

I love it!  I decided to take the colors from this week's trigger and make another sweet something with it!

Super clean and simple but fun and a card I can keep on hand at work... Sometimes I'll start on a card and then when I'm hours and hours into it- I realize I have no idea who/what I would give it for... I love cards that totally have a purpose!!!

I felt like the sentiment (Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler) completely went with this My Cute Stamps cup of cocoa or perhaps it's a mocha...  Either way, YUM!

Graduation Birthday Buddies - Part 2

As promised, here is another Birthday Graduation Buddy from Paper Smooches Birthday Buddies!  Read more HERE for a background on my obsession with Paper Smooches and how this little series came to be!

Again, super simple- just cropped off the birthday party hat and turned it into a graduation cap! So fun!

I'm giving this little gopher/groundhog/beaver to my niece who is graduation from Dental Hygiene School next week.  I think she'll be proud of his pearly whites, don't you think?

In this one, I used the sentiments from the Sentiment Sampler and the star is from Spiffy Scooters to create a graduation themed patterned paper!

The doggy and a school of fishes are to come...

Wormy Graduates!

When I saw Kim Hughes' Paper Smooches Birthday Buddies set, I HAD TO HAVE IT!
Reason why: THE WORM.

I find him hysterical!  I use him ANY chance I get.

This idea came to me in my sleep and I could not wait to execute it!
WORMY GRADUATES!

One of the reasons I love  LOVE Paper Smooches is that they are SO versatile!  It occured to me, that I could crop off part of their birthday party hat and with a sharpie and a few tries later- I had a graduation cap!

SO fun!  I paired my little wormy friend with the a sentiment from Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler.

I'll be back with a few more Birthday Graduation Buddies!  They are already done and waiting for blogging!

Classically Modern

This week's Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World turned out SO much harder than I originally thought it would be!

I LOVE the trigger:

I love the blue & white floral.
I love the wall art.
I love the intense texture of the white bedding.
I love the contrast of the pink tulips.

Anyways, after SO many different tries, here's what I came up with!

I chose the blue & white In Bloom patterned paper from PaperTrey Ink and paired it with some matching cardstock bringing a very literal incorporation of the wall paper and pillows.
I knew I wanted to incorporate a brad to pay tribute to that amazing wall decoration and use an embossed white paper for the bedding.

I embossed the sentiment in white.  Don't you just LOVE Kim Hughes' Paper Smooches???  This is from the Pretty Phrases set!  Simple zig-zag stitches to create a horizontal line that really comes across in the TT.  Then added some flowers to incorporate the accent colors of pink & green!

Thanks for looking!

Happy New Home

I needed a 'new home' card for a friend of mine that just closed on her 1st home yesterday!  Such an accomplishment - I'm very excited for her!

I love this Pink Paislee Hometown Summer paper.  The houses are SO nostalgic it just makes me smile.

Out of the scrap paper, I cut out some of the houses and popped them up with foam squares to give it some dimension.
