Go-to Gal Designer Challenge - The Twinery

For my Fresh Squeezed Stamps post, click here
For my Mama Elephant post, click here

It's the last Wednesday of the month and that means it is time for another Paper Crafts magazine Go-to Gal Designer Challenge.  This month, we're focusing on products from The Twinery!

I love twine so this was a fun challenge for me.  I tend to use twine in very traditional ways so I decided to stick with that and wrap it around a die cut shape of the perfect piece of notebook paper.  We all have our quirks and mine is grounding.  One of my favorite ways to ground something is twine!  So here's my card...
To create this card, I used the best die ever, which is a My Favorite Things die-namics die.  Seriously, if there is one die that I use over and over, it's this die!  I wrapped charcoal bakers twine around the notebook shape.  Then, I die cut and stamped images from Papertrey Ink's Bubble Talk stamps.  To stamp the background (another grounding aspect here) I used Lawn Fawn's Sharp Backdrops. The enamel dots are from My Mind's Eye.

Now it's off to check out the other Go-to Gals to see how they've used products from The Twinery.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing a bit of your day with me!  Have a great one!

Mama Elephant - Thank you and Boo!

Hi everyone!
I'm back today with my final post as the Mama Elephant August guest designer.  Thank you so much to Kryssi and the entire team for having me!  It has been such a treat!

The first card I'm sharing today uses Many Thanks, which is absolutely full of thankful goodness. I absolutely love sets like these because there is a perfect sentiment for every thankful occasion.
To create this card, I pulled a sentiment from Many Thanks and simply added a little coloring to the inside of the sentiment.  Then, I added my favorite little heart, which is from the new Foodie stamp set and stamped a border from Basic Borders.

My last card is one I've been so excited to share, using the Bootastic set.
I know I gushed about how much I love Bootastic during the Stampede but seriously I adore Bootastic.  Those little trick-or-treaters are just too cute and that princess could be used for other occasions too. Again, I used Basic Borders to ground my images.

That's it from me today!  Thank you so much for letting me join you today!  I hope you have a great day!

I heat embossed *gasp, I know!  I rarely emboss!* the sentiment on blue cardstock and then trimmed it out to make a tag shape.  The stars and clouds are from Weather Through - I love that set!

Neat & Tangled Birthday Bash

It's Neat & Tangled 1st birthday and Danielle is having quite the birthday bash party!  I love it!
Today, I'm crashing the party with this card! I love the bird from Swirly Twirly Tags and the sentiment and banner from  Party Dots so much.  So, I put them together and created this fun card.  I actually die cut the stars from vellum and colored them with Gelatos.  The border is from On the Strip

Thanks Danielle for letting me crash your party!

Stitched Starry Banner

Hello!  Today is my day over on the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog, and I'm sharing this card.
The stitched stars from Weather Through, te bows are from String Me Along and the sentiment is from Words to Live By.

So Happy

Popping in today to share a Just For Fun card.  Well, actually, this card does have a purpose and is already signed and sealed and washi taped to a wedding present ready to be delivered.
I created this card using Papertrey Ink's Mini Blooms set to create the focal point of the card.  I trimmed it down and tied a ribbon around it.  Before adhering it to the cardbase, I stamped a border stamp from Neat & Tangled's On the Strip onto the cardbase.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  I'm off to a wedding this weekend. :)

Written in the Stars

I'm up on the Avery Elle blog today with this card.  I've been excited about the Written in the Stars Avery Elle set for a long time.
Constellations are popping up everywhere so it's fun to have a stamp set that takes a fun twist on this trend!

Mama Elephant August Guest Designer, Day 1

Hi everyone!

I’m so excited to be on the Mama Elephant blog today as the August guest designer.  I absolutely adore Mama Elephant stamps so this is an absolute treat!

The first card made uses Message Bands.
I struggle using patterned paper sometimes and am always looking for stamps that will allow me to incorporate it in a card or project.  Message Bands is the perfect stamp for this!  This would look equally cool with stamping below it too!

Next up is a card using the new Foodie stamp set.
That little cupcake had me at hello and the matching sentiment is just so perfect!  I stamped the cupcakes along the top and bottom of the card and then the sentiment in the middle.  I also pulled out that little heart, which is seriously the perfect little heart, and stamped it repeatedly along the bottom of the sentiment.

Thank you so much for  stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

Mama Elephant August Stampede

Welcome to the Mama Elephant August Stampede blog hop!  Eek, I couldn't be anymore excited to be Guest Designing this month for Mama Elephant.  You should have arrived here from the Mama Elephant blog.

Here's the entire hop order, just incase you're lost...

Heather Campbell http://parkermolly.blogspot.com/ <-- That's me!

Let's get to business!!!

I love Halloween!  I decorate for Halloween almost as much as I decorate for Christmas.  I love taking my kids out in the neighborhood to trick-or-treat and my kids are already talking about costumes.  :) This makes me so happy!

When it comes to Halloween, I don't make a ton of cards but I do make a ton of candy wraps and treat packages!  Bootastic is absolutely adorable!!!  I created little tags to go on top of some treat containers.
I cut these little boxes out on my Silhouette, one out of patterned paper and the other from plain cardstock and wrapped washi tape around each one.  The ribbon, I adore this chevron ribbon, is from May Arts.
and here's a close up of the one I stamped the Bootastic spiders on...

To celebrate the new release, Mama Elephant is giving away 3 gift certificates worth $20.00 each to 3 lucky people! Winners will be chosen at random from the collective blogs in the Stampede. Winners will be announced on the blog on the last Stamp Highlight day.
