I've been having lots of fun with my new Die-namics dies!

Here's a card I whipped up today with them and the PaperTrey Ink Wonderful Words die & stamp set.   Super easy but looks so special!

Computer Card

I love digikits!  I know I've said it before and I'll say it again!  I LOVE Digikits!

The Hero Arts kit From the Desk Of... at 2peas is no exception!

I love ALL of the images in this digikit.  I love the retro feel.  I love the versatility.  I love that I can use these images to make manly cards!  In fact, I used the globe to make an anniversary card for my husband and then this computer I have a few ideas for!

Anyways, here's the father's day card that I created for my father-in-law and the CARDS blog challenge.  Pretty simple, nothing frilly.  I hope it's manly.  I think it is.  I love this patterned paper from October Afternoon.  I actually bought the paper for the reverse pattern, but I find myself pulling for this side more and more lately.

Whale Welcome Baby a Denim Cards Challenge

I've really been enjoying the CARDS Create blog challenges.  This week's challenge is denim.

I went round and round on how to use denim in my card... At first I tried to use denim in a die- failed miserably!  Sadly, the only scrap denim I had around the house was some trouser style dressy denim... so I had to scrap that plan.  Then I decided to stamp on it.  After a few tries, here's what I came up with...
In the end, I like it way more than I thought I would.  Stitching on it was so much harder than I anticipated, so the denim panel ended up a little wacky, but I like the imperfectness (if that's a word) of it.
I would have loved to use my white enamel accents on the hears, but my precious 13 month old daughter had them in her hands last night and I have NO idea where they are now.   To make matters worse, I saw them in her hands when we were outside...

So Happy - The Pyrex Effect

I used the colors from Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger, The Pyrex Effect and pulled in the flower print at the bottom to match the Tuesday Trigger as well.
I created this card with PaperTrey Ink's new Wonderful Words dies & coordinating stamp set.  I love it.  LOVE it.  I can't wait to play with it some more!

Special Gumball - A Card A Day Reject

I didn't get that much crafting time in for the most recent 'A Card A Day' submission call by Paper Crafts... However, I'm pleased to report that I did have a card accepted!  Considering I only got a few submitted and they had over 2,400 cards submitted, I was thrilled!

Anyways, I'm here to share a reject that I love and will, of course, link it up to Amber's reject blog hop!

Really clean & simple...  I'm obsessed with the Hawaiian Shores color PTI cardstock- it's so bright & vibrant!  I paired it with My Mind's Eye Tickled Pink paper, My Cute Stamps gumball machine and a Paper Smooches sentiment.  Super simple & fun!
I have another idea for this gumball machine... Gotta work on that one!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, and thanks Amber for the Holiday cards & more reject blog hop win!!!  Keep the reject blog hops coming

Cards Pink Challenge

I love pink, have I mentioned that?

So, when I saw the challenge on the CARDS blog, I had to play along.  100% pink.  Everything pink.  No other color.  I gotta say, it was harder than I had thought it would be!

I got to thinking about pink and what pink means to me, and I always think of the peonies in my wedding bouquet.   So, here's what I came up with...

Super clean & simple- totally my style.

Mother's Day Card - Part 2

Alright, here's my other Mother's Day card, and this one is actually for my mom!  I wanted something a little softer for my mom, which is funny because she's quite spunky!

I used Paper Smooches Pretty Phrases with some beautiful October Afternoon patterned paper.   I have to admit, I got the idea from one of Kim Hughes cards.   I love that idea!

Mother's Day Card - Part 1

Last night, as I was gazing at my supplies and pondering what I wanted to create- I realized that Mother's Day is actually days away and I had to create a card for both my Mom and my Mother-in-law!  Um, time to get to work!

For my first card, I wanted to do something very fun!  I've had this card sketched out for awhile but it's been sidelined for one reason or another...

I used the clouds from Paper Smooches Spiffy Scooters and stamped them in Aqua Mist and Fresh Snow.  Then I used Paper Smooches Giddy Bugs butterfly.  I couldn't decide on a sentiment, so I combined Paper Smooches Pretty Phrases with Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler to create my final sentiment.

Have I mentioned that I love Paper Smooches.  I've been on a total Paper Smooches kick lately!

Teacher Appreciation Week

It's Teacher Appreciation Week and with that comes special activities for my son's preschool class.  This week, one of the things all the kids in the class are supposed to do is make a card at home for the teacher.  YAY!  I knew this would be SO much fun.

Here's his work of art!  I'm not sure my Copics will ever be the same and I'm out of stickles now but it was totally worth it!
He did everything on this card except stamp the stamp with ink (3 year old boy with an inkpad- i don't think so!), tie the bow to the button, and adhere the layers to the card!

I made a card at the same time also for the teacher.  Here's mine, although I'm totally head over heels for my son's!
