Gallery Idol Round 4

***this is my 2nd post of the day.  Scroll down to see my Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge card but don't forget to vote for me too!***

Oh my gosh! ROUND 4!
The top 10.
I'm dreaming, right?

You can see the announcement here.
I still can't believe it!

The theme for Round 4 is to make a card something from around the house.
I raided my cabinets and drawers, even went digging in the garage for stuff I might have forgotten... Then, I came back to my craft room and just tried everything.

My loot included cotton balls, parchment paper, chicken wire, bamboo forks... and then I tried...
 NAIL POLISH.

Yep.  Nail polish.

It took about 8 tries to get the right splatter effect but boy was it fun and gosh do I like it.
I think what makes me the happiest about this card is that while I fully abided by the challenge rules, I also managed to create a card good enough to give.  Sometimes when I make a card for a challenge, I can lose myself in creating the card and I am never happy with the end result.

I love how the nail polish also has a subtle sparkle to it too.  Super cool.

I cut the paper doll people and the sentiment on my Silhouette Cameo.
Talk about a tool that does it all.

I hope you enjoy my card and perhaps I've inspired you to try out some nail polish crafting! It is really fun!

Now, I ask you to GO VOTE FOR ME!

Thanks and have a great day!

Gallery Idol Round 3

Oh my gosh!
I made it to Gallery Idol Round 3.
The top 15.  You can see the announcement here.
I still can't believe it!

The theme for Round 3 is to make a masculine and a feminine card with the same product.
I decided to work with Paper Smooches hexagon border from Geo-Graphic.

For the masculine card, I paper pieced some of the hexagons with some colored cardstock.

For the feminine card, I paired the hexagon with the branches and flowers from Paper Smooches Reflections and did some serious masking.

I love how these turned out and I hope you like them too!
Now, I ask you to GO VOTE FOR ME!

Thanks and have a great day!

Gallery Idol - Round 2

(This is my 2nd post for the day, for my Paper Smooches Sparks DT post, please scroll down... :) ...but please vote for me too!)
Oh my gosh.
Seriously, I think I'm sick to my stomach.

I can't believe I made Gallery Idol Top 20.
Seriously, me?  Are you sure?

Someone pinch me, please.

To my card...

The theme for this round is 'You Color My World' and I have to say that while I made more than one card for this round, I came back to what I made first...
I used my go-to zebra from Paper Smooches Zoo Crew and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches Word Salad.

I love the play on words with the black and white zebra and the sentiment.
I'm all about punny stuff.  LOL!

I made the glitter chevron background panel with my Die-namics Chevron dies and some double sided adhesive sheets.  Then, I picked out my favorite glitter colors and went to town.  I made this while at my friend Karolyn's house and I have to thank her for letting me use her adhesive sheets and also apologize for covering her house in a rainbow of glitter.  What a friend does that to someone, yikes!?!

I love the way this card turned out, it's so pretty in person!
I hope you like it too!

Alright friends, please go vote for me
Thanks again and have a great day!

Paper Smooches Spark June Trend Watch

It's time for this week's Paper Smooches Sparks challenge.
The first week of the month is the trend watch challenge!
Here is this week's trend watch photo:

I was really inspired by the graphic patterns and the colors.
Seriously, some of my favorite colors are in here!

Here's my card:
I masked the panel and stamped away with my Paper Smooches background stamps.
Confession: I might be a mask-aholic. :)  I love how the possibilities with masking are just endless.

I used the following Paper Smooches stamps:
Geo-graphic (chevron, hexagon)
Debonair (gingham, argyle)
Good Gab (sentiment)
