Spellbinders Hop

Hello hello!  Welcome to my blog - I'm excited to be taking part in the latest Spellbinders hop!

Today's hop is introducing the new Sapphire cutting machine - a little gem that will cut and emboss using dies up to 2  1/4”!  It's affordable price allows you to experiment with paper crafting without making a big commitment.

The Sapphire™ machine and the Sapphire™ dies are sold exclusively at Jo-Ann craft stores and Joann.com. Visit www.SpellbindersCreativeArts.com/Sapphire to Learn More.

I played with 2 new dies for this hop!  First I used Spellbinders PHD-003 Ovals to create a focal point behind the seal from the new Seal-abrate set.

To create my own custom background, I used Avery Elle Bunting

Then I decided to use the same Spellbinders PHD-003 Ovals and Avery Elle Seal-abrate to create a coordinating cupcake topper!

Lastly, I used the Spellbinders PDS-508 Celebrate to create a milk bottle wrapper.  I think it coordinates perfectly and would work great for just about any occasion!  The sentiment is from Handwritten Notes.

That's it from me today!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Teacher Cards

Hello friends!  I recently needed more than just a few teacher cards.  Side note: there's a lot of teachers in my life!

Anyways, I was thrilled to have the new Little Minds stamp and die.
On my first card, I kept it very simple - using the new pierced rectangle dies to create depth and interest.

Next I masked the heart and ruler to create this card.  It also has a fair amount of glitter.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Clink!

Hello everyone!  How's your week progressing?  I have been busy this past week and thought I'd share a few highlights here...

Molly "graduated" from Pre-K.  Next stop: Kindergarten!  She's so ready - I am very excited to watch her blossom.

She also had her ballet recital.

Parker's last day of 1st grade was yesterday.  2nd grade here we come!   (This is Parker and his teacher, Mrs Olson - she is so great!)

We're kicking off summer with a ton of great ideas.  My goal is to keep Parker reading and writing every day!  He's got a fun-filled, sports oriented summer ahead of him to reward him for all of the hard work he's going to be doing before he goes to camp every day!  Molly is going to color and work on sight words every day at the same time!

Ok, enough about me - lets get to the card!
To create my shaker, I die cut the wine glass die from the new Avery Elle Wine Shaker die from white cardstock and then colored it with a Copic marker to get a very light shade of cardstock.  I heat embossed a bow from Homemade and added a sentiment from Happy Hour!  Clink!   The entire panel was cut with the Double Pierced Rectangles to get that pretty pierced edge!

Thanks so much for stopping by - I hope you have a great day!

Avery Elle Simply Said Amazing

Hi all!
Welcome back around here - how's your week going?  I've got a fun card using the new Avery Elle Simply Said Amazing stamps and dies
To create this card I:
1. Die cut the new Wonky Stitches panel (which I am utterly obsessed with).
2. Die cut my sentiment and then stamped the add-ons onto the heart from the Geek Love
3. Then I traced the heart shape so I had a guide as I stamped flowers from Fabulous Florals.
4. Once I had all of my flowers stamped, I added the heart with foam tape and then adhered the die.
5. Last, i accented everything with white gel pen dots!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a great day!

Avery Elle Summer Release Blog Hop

Wahooo!  It's Avery Elle release and blog hop day!
As always, I couldn't be anymore excited for this hop.  You should have arrived here from the fabulous Caryn Davies' blog!  Next stop is JJ Bolton - but be sure to scroll to the bottom for the complete hop details.

For the hop, I'm playing with two sets!

First I'm playing with Seal-abrate!

Here's what I created:
I used the new Wonky Stitches die to create my layer!  I love this die!
Here's the same card with just one seal.  Ack I just adore sets that create fun and easy birthday cards!

Here's the idea sheet for Seal-abrate!

Next, I am playing with Peonies!
Coloring these peonies in is so fun!
Again, I used the new Wonky Stitches to create my base layer.  Can you tell I'm in love with this die?
Here I stamped the peonies with pink ink and colored them very lightly! I love the soft effect here!  I also used the new Scallops Frames die and the new Double Pierced Rectangles

Here's the idea sheet!

Now for the hop details...

Avery Elle Summer 2015 Release

Happy Hip Hip Hooray!  It's finally the day of the big Avery Elle reveal!  I'm so excited to share a few sets that I had the opportunity to design!  Everything will be loaded into the store and available for purchase on Thursday, June 4th!

It's also Avery Elle's birthday month - which had me in the mood for some cake.
Meet Bring on the Cake!
I might be biased but I love the buildable sentiments in this set.  The opportunities are endless!  Cake has no calories.... teeheehee.
 And projects...
I paired the bundt cake with the 'bring on the cake' sentiment.  I coated the cherries in Glossy Accents!

Ombre cake anyone?  I love how this set will work for both masculine and feminine with a simple color change!

Next up - still in the party mood - Let's Seal-abrate!

Are you happy clapping like a seal yet?   I am! :)  I love sticking the cupcake on top of his nose!
Lastly, Pretty Peonies!

Peonies are by far my favorite flower.  The month of May I cannot pass by fresh peonies without bringing home a bouquet.

That's it for me today!  I'll be back soon!
