Smile

Hello!
I have a fun card to share with you here today that's also over on the Avery Elle blog
I used the largest die from the new Pinked dies set and cut it in half and layer some patterned paper right over the top.  The sentiment is from Oh Yeah.  I still love being able to create an arrow sentiment.

Top Dog Dies - Party Favor treat boxes

Hi everyone!  I am so excited to share a project using Top Dog Dies here on my blog.

Top Dog Dies is a new online store that offers their own brand of wafer-thin and steel-rule dies, along with dies from brands you already know and trust, including My Favorite Things, Sizzix, Savvy Stamps and Cheery Lynn Designs. Top Dog Dies is also the leading U.S. retailer for Tattered Lace, a new line of intricate dies designed by U.K. designer Stephanie Weightman.
I used the Top Dog Dies Box with Handle Die to create my own favor boxes!  I think dies like this are great because you can create handmade treat boxes and party favors for all occasions and holidays, they'd make easy wedding favors too!   I know I'll be using them to create some cute Valentines!
To create my party favor, I simply cut a piece of patterned paper.  I tested all sorts of card stock and paper through the die and it cut perfectly through all of them!
Then I wrapped ribbon around it!  Easy peasy and so cute!
Thank you Top Dog Dies for letting me play!

Now for the fun!  How about a giveaway?  Register on this page to be eligible for the giveaway, but you can get extra entries by both commenting on my post here and following Top Dog Dies on our Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Be sure to head over to the Top Dog Dies blog too because I have two other projects there too!

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day!

inky heaven!

Have you heard the amazing news?  Avery Elle has came out with their own brand of ink pads!
Yep!  Ink!  15 colors and they are all stunning!
They're pigment, which I love because the colors always turn out gorgeous and offer a nice solid coverage!  These are fast drying too, which is awesome!  Did I mention the colors are amazing?
I was lucky enough to travel to CHA and work in the Avery Elle booth, which meant I got to play with these inks and *squeal* bring a set home with me!

To support the Avery Elle ink release, I thought I'd make a few quick cards with the new ink to show off the gorgeous colors.  On all of my cards, I wrote the ink color name as close the the stamped image as possible.

For this card, I created a card base from Silver Fox cardstock and a nesting Ultra Smooth Pure White layer, which I stamped the balloon dog from Party Animal in Lemon Grass, Mint To Be and Aquamarine.
Next, I had to play with the pink inks.  I'm a stamper and I love the color pink.  Sadly, pinks do not always equate to great ink colors.  NOT THESE PINKS - they're incredible!  I stamped and die cut the flowers from Petals & Stems in Pixie (the prettiest light pink) and Raspberry (a nice darker pink) and the branches are from Laurels, which I stamped in Lemon Grass.  That pinked layer is the largest Pinked Avery Elle die.

With two cards complete, I felt compelled to use all of the inks so you could see all of the great colors put to use on a card but I needed to find a way to use them at once since I didn't have a ton of time.  So I came up with this...  I stamped the banner from Build a Banner and a sentiment from Petals & Stems.  I used circles from Picture It and Circle It.

I'm so glad I had the opportunity to play with all of these inks already!  They've already overtaken my first shelf of inks and I know they'll be my go-to inks!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and have a great day!

Avery Elle Love Notes

Hello! I hope you are having a great week!  Today I'm sharing this card on the Avery Elle blog, using the new Love Notes stamp set.

I simply stamped the flowers along the bottom and then the sentiment right on top.  I wrapped some twine around my card and then added some glitter with my wink of stella glitter pen.  I love it so much, it's hard not to use it on every project I make!

vellum love you forever

Hello friends and happy Thursday!  Oh my goodness am I glad it's almost Friday!  CHA was a blast, I worked the Avery Elle booth and walked the floor as a Go-to Gal for Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine.  I met so many wonderful people and saw so much amazing product.  I am exhausted so Friday can't come soon enough!
Anyways, I have a card to share with you today!
I stamped the floral bunches from Thanks a Bunch on white cardstock and then mounted that onto a layer of kraft.  Then, I stitched vellum right over the top and added the die cut from Simply Said Love to the top of it.
