Spread Happiness

***For my Newton's Nook Designs release post, scroll down or click HERE!***

Eek, today is the day!  Today is my first post as a Go-to Gal, you can find it here on the Paper Crafts Connection blog.

If you're new here, welcome!  If you've been here before, I'm so excited for you to be back!

To be a Go-to Gal was a dream that I never imagined would come true.  Ever since the day I started stamping, I've tried to keep things in perspective.  I've always tried to remember how and why I stumbled into this hobby in the first place.   Thanks, Ashley! :)

The day I got that invitation to participate in the challenges was a day I'll never forget.  I was humbled and flattered.  Me - did they mean to send that to me?  I went with it, had fun, and enjoyed the experience.  Did I want it? Yes. Did I think it would happen?  Never in a million years.

But it did and here I am!  I am SO excited!  So, eeek!

For today's post on the Paper Crafts Connection blog, I introduced myself with 3 of my past favorite published projects.

Over here, on my personal blog, I thought I'd share a new project that I think illustrates a lot of what I do and love to create.  So, here's my card!
This card introduces me and my personal style in a lot of ways.
  1. I'm always happy.  I'm quirky and goofy.  I wear cat sweaters and mouse shoes.  So, it's no surprise that I absolutely love fun & cute.  While I do venture over to other styles, fun & cute just does it for me.  It makes me giddy and I often let out squeals of joy when I see an adorable, freshly stamped critter.
  2. love journaling cards, a lot!  Die cut shapes, pre-made, or even 12x12 sheets of journaling card paper make my heart skip a beat!  (Maybe even two!)  I love journaling cards so much that I even felt inspired and helped concept Oh Yeah by Avery Elle.
  3. I'm all about the little things.  I love embellishments.  Bakers twine, washi tape, sequins, enamel dots, rounded corners, colored card bases, and I'd even say background stamps... what more could a girl want?
Thank you for stopping by my blog today to learn a little bit more about me!  What do your cards say about your personal style?  Leave me a comment with your answer and if you include your blog info and I'd love to head your way too!
Supplies:
Stamps: Mama Elephant: Up and AwayNeat & Tangled: On the Strip
Dies: My Favorite Things Die-namics: 3x4 Notebook Paper
Washi Tape: Bella Blvd (it's by far my favorite washi tape ever! - rips perfectly!)
Colored Pencils: Faber Castell

Congrats on your new Go-To Gal position! I look forward to seeing more of you on the blog and in the magazine. You have some truly wonderful cards and projects. Love the vinyl vases. I'm still working on my style but would say I'm leaning towards CAS for sure. :-).

Hi Heather! Loved your projects on the PC blog today. I'm a messy technique girl myself :) Still, I like to keep my cards pretty simple.

Congratulations on being a Go To Gal! Love the vases that you shared today. I too love altering items but since I have no where to really put things like that I do it as often as I used to.

What a great post at PaperCrafts today! I especially enjoyed your "Go Boldly" card and the story about Parker. He's very lucky to have you as his Mom…I can tell without even meeting you personally. Love your style and have visited here before but don't comment often. Congrats on your Go-to Gal position and looking forward to seeing more of your creations!
