Hello, and welcome to the Essentials by Ellen Winter 2016 Hop! Wahooo what a fun release. I tell ya, that Julie knows how to design some amazing sets! If you didn't start from the beginning, you can start at the CLASSroom blog. You should have arrived here from Laurel's blog.
This bear. I love him. I mean LOVE him. Seriously, he's so cute!!!
This bear is part of the All Inside stamp set. That clever little die actually cuts out his arms so he can hold all sorts of goodness. I used one of the sentiments to create a heat embossed sentiment background on vellum (super soft appearance!) and then created a scene with a little tag. Those envelopes he's holding are from the new Bitty Envelope die set, accented by a heart from Hearth and Home.
Next I wanted to put just about every set I could to use. :) I stamped the bear again, this time using no-line coloring and then put a cut heart in his hands. Then, I created a background using the sun from the same All Inside stamp set and clouds from Up The Happy stamp set.

That bear is so sweet holding his valentines.
I get it - completely. He is cute without being sickly sweet or too odd. I love critter stamps that do that because too many are too cute. Both cards are gorgeous and appeal to the two sides of my crafty brain. A bear, hearts, landscape and a tag I don't need any more than that lol! I love both cards, and the bear! My favorite though, is the stamped vellum you made! I just love that! I also like that the bear can be used for so many different type of cards. Your second card would be great for a get well card, or out of touch card! I love them both so much.
