Hope for Hope

Hello friends!  Welcome to the Hop for Hope!

You should have arrived here from the wonderful Donna Mikasa's blog.  In case you just stumbled upon the hop, be certain to start at the Classroom blog so you don't miss a stop!

Like so many, my family has been directly affected by breast cancer.  I've lost two aunts to breast cancer so this hop really does mean a lot to me.

For today's hop, we're all playing with the Courage stamp and die set.  In case you missed the original release of this stamp, for each stamp/die set purchased, $25 will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Here's my card:
While I'd much prefer to never have to give this card, sadly, until there's a cure - I still am faced with way too many instances where I'm having to give cards like this.  This set is as beautiful as it comes.

I stamped and die cut all of the images.  For the ribbon, I used my distress inks to create an ombre ribbon.  Then, I stamped a lovely sentiment.

Next stop on the hop is Heather Meeson!

Thank you so much for stopping by and hoping for hope!

XOXO,
Heather

Wonderful card, just love the sentiment. My sister-in-law has battled breast cancer twice. Unfortunately she has a new battle with cancer but not in the breast. The fight continues and we need to win this thing!!!

Thanks for sharing this lovely card with its striking sentiment, Heather. Love the ombre coloring of the ribbon. I have this set from Ellen. Your card reminds me to get it out and send encouraging messages to several of my friends--one of whom has a life-long battle ahead of her, one day at a time.

Oh Heather, I'm so sorry that you have been touched so deeply by this horrible disease. That makes me so sad. But you have made a gorgeous card in lovely, happy colors that I hope you can share for any women (or men) who may need some encouragement in their fight. I know they'd love it. Your card is amazing. ♥
